What to Expect...

When you enroll your student(s) in a 'class' with Wildwood Learning Center (WLC) you are guaranteed that they will receive high quality instruction, communication and support. Perhaps there is a subject area that you would like your student to focus on more that you do not feel prepared to teach or would like a class that is already set up. Or perhaps your student needs an 'outside' teacher for accountability. There are many reasons parents choose to have their students take a class from an instructor outside the home. Have a look through our class listings and see if there is a class offered that meets your needs.
For each class you will see: grade level, duration of the class, fees, books required, optional materials, suggested credit(s), and a description. If you have any questions about these descriptions, reach out to us! Each class is reasonably priced. If your family is in need of financial assistance for courses, please reach out to us. We stand by our commitment to offer a generous education for all children.
Each class offered through WLC is designed with the child in mind. Following the educational philosophy of Charlotte Mason, we believe that every child wants to learn and is capable. We offer them challenges and are here to support them as they grow. Instructors are always available to help when needed. Your students will not be alone.
Classes may have discussion groups. Each of these are closely monitored by the instructors and only participants of the class have access to these groups. Your student is safe online while "in class" through WLC. The same pertains to the video classes; no one except those enrolled in the class are permitted into the "classroom."
All assignments will be reviewed and feedback given in a timely manner. Instructors are always available to discuss the course work.
You and your student can expect to be treated with respect at all times. Education is important to us and so are the parents and students that seek this education. We are willing to work with you and your student if there is confusion, if they are struggling with the material and/or there are other issues that need to be discussed. Your student's teacher is always willing to help! Emails to the school are responded to each day and often on the weekend, except Sunday. Phone calls are welcome but know that email is the best way to reach us.
All information pertaining to your student, and your family, are kept strictly confidential. Emails are never given to other companies or individuals. WLC only retains names, email address(es), and phone numbers for the purpose of contacting in regards to the classes in which students are enrolled.
Check our available classes.
Each student is expected to treat the instructor with the same respect afforded to them. They will be expected to communicate with the instructor if there is a reason that their assignments cannot be completed on time. Students are expected to communicate with the instructor if they are struggling or having a problem with the course. If the instructor is not notified, arrangements cannot be made. If there is a reason the student cannot communicate directly with the teacher, we do ask that a parent be available to do so.
As all of our classes are offered on a donation basis, we do not give refunds. You are able to donate at any time.
You can read what others have to say about our instructors and classes on our Testimonials page.
Communication is very important to students, instructors and to parents. All parents (and students when applicable) will receive an information packet when enrollment is complete. If your student does not have a personal email address, please be sure to relay this during registration.
